Theresa Parisi
Theresa Parisi graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Addiction Science, Addiction Counseling and Psychology, from Minnesota State University in 2010. This vigorous program required a clinical internship, which she began at a residential treatment center in South Florida and completed at an outpatient treatment center in Mankato, Minnesota. Upon completion of her degree, Theresa began her career as an Addiction Counselor in 2010.
Theresa is a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager (CBHCM) by The Florida Certification Board, and a Certified International Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) by The International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC). Theresa is also a Certified Professional Life Coach and volunteers at a local mental health facility helping individuals who struggle with homelessness and addiction.
Theresa is a well-rounded clinician with experience working as a Primary Addiction Counselor, Case Manager and Director of Utilization Review in various treatment centers for addiction and mental health in Florida, Minnesota, and Colorado. She also has experience with admissions, marketing, and outreach. Eager to learn, Theresa is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Theresa is passionate toward helping others and strives to continue her knowledge by regularly attending workshops on Addiction and Mental Health, as well as Webinars and is known for her large book collection on various related subjects. Theresa was also published in an international award-winning magazine focused on addiction and mental health education. Theresa enjoys running, exercising, and going to the beach with her husband in her free time. As a proud recovering addict herself, Theresa understands first-hand the struggles of addiction. There is no limit to what Theresa is willing to do to make a difference in the field of Addiction!
